soundoff and install comp
If this should be in the Events and meets sect can a mod move it for me.
I'm trying to guage intrest in a possible sound-off and a/v install contest in paulding county. No firm dates or prices as of yet, but here is some prelim info.
date: a sunday in march
SPL:entry will be $10 per run and you can only compete in 1 class
classes will go as follows:
1-2 woofers 0-1000watts
1-2 woofers 1001+
2-4 woofers 0-2000 watts
2-4 woofers 2001+
5+ woofers unlimited
install: entry will be $15
classes are not set in stone yet but I am looking at doing 2 classes.
novice class: basicly defined as simpler install made of wood
expert class: in depth install containing alot of fiberglass and motorization.
judging will be based on:
cleanliness and functionality of install
sound quality (this isnt an sq comp, but a horrible sounding system will not score as high as a nice sounding one)
overall design
each catogory will be scored on a 1-10 scale with a max score of 30.
prizes: this hasnt been worked out yet, but right now the leading idea is a cash and a trophy for the winner of each class and plaques or trophies for 2nd and 3rd. This will be worked out as the its gets closer to time.
