Default Need help with power cable...

    ..Anyone have experience with a 2007+ Altima? I have a 2011.

There is a grommet in the firewall, but it's impossible to see, so it's all by feeling. I'm running a 1/0 power cable, and i just can't get it through.

Just moved here, so don't have any friends around anymore. Anyone around with some experience that feels like giving a hand?

Try to stick a coat hanger or something through first to see where it comes through, if you're lucky enough to still be able to you can tape the wire to the coat hanger to pull it on through once you find the other end.

Yep, done all that. I've used a screwdriver, and I was able to get a #8 power cable through that i'm using to bring a battery ground in behind the HU.

The plan was to use this #8 as a fish wire, to pull the 1/0 through, but it just won't budge.. and I can't see enough to get a blade in there (plus the oem harness goes through this same grommet).

If you have an automatic transmission you should have a large grommet where the clutch assembly would be. Otherwise without looking at the car I can't really tell you much.
