I have an 02 base model cavalier and the radio is starting to have issues. I want to swap in a new one but it needs the insanely expensive GMOS-01 harness. I need a quote from shops on how much they would want to hard wire a new radio. I know I will lose door chimes and I may have the security light on, but I really dont care, I just dont want to pay more for a wiring harness than I will for the damn radio.
BTW, car is manual everything and does not have on-star.
I know shops dont always like to advertise pricing so post up or PM.
Thanks.

GMOS are really annoying. I got mine from Dynamic for $90 or $95, can't remember. But GL.

too damn expensive for me. I have been quoted anywhere from 130-160 for the damn thing.

We typically sell the GMOS's from $90-$110 depending on the model.
If we hardwired your unit, you would be looking are $80 out the door for the installation. This would also include the antenna adaptor and dash kit needed for the installation. If you already have that, then it would be $60 labor.

It may have to wait until after memorial day because of work, but I will probably be stopping by to get this done. Its a bit of a drive though so I may see if someone closer will match you.

Hit up my boy Deshawn that owns Drops Mobile...(404) 557-7727. Not sure what price he will give you, but he can come to you. FYI, if you do choose them, make sure Deshawn is the one coming to do your installation...not any of their other installers.

I'll give him a call when I get back from the beach. I'm not against the drive over there if its going to be done right.

LOL, yeah, I know it is a drive. I was sent out to Hiram a couple of times for support help when I was with Target. If you like me to send some installation photos of headunits, give me your email address. I will send you a few.
