    Default Audio Minds, step inside

95 Miata, stock headunit and speakers. A whirring sound and thudding is coming from my drivers door speaker when the radio is on. Heres the kicker....the whirring increases in pitch with RPMs,lol....

what he^ said.... check that speaker also....could be grounding out or the voice coil could be getting ready to go, essentially showing the radio a short to ground.

out of just one speaker though? Would it have something to do with that speaker specifically? IE a wire in the door

    possibly....could be the wire too.

best way to check: remove the speaker and use a test speaker to test the wiring. while the speaker is out test ohm load and use try to test the speaker with another source.

it could still be a grounding issue at the alternator on top of that.

heres the kicker...could be a radio issue also.
