    Default Sub in Sol

Ok so yesterday i got one pioneer premier 12" sub and a crunch 1k watt amp. Well its in the trunk of the sol and when i shut the trunk the trunk goes CRAZY! i put some hot glue in between the trunk and the support it sits on because they are separated and it sounds better but i dont wanna have to hot glue my whole trunk any ideas?

don't put subs in the trunk of a del sol

it's like putting a sub in the bed of a truck. plus the trunk lids are so flemsy that the frame hits the sheet metal almost no matter what. i LOVED having a sub in my truck but with the del sol i can't bring myself to put one in the trunk... so i'm saving to do something custom with the personal trunk... or you can just take the personal trunk out and put a "patz box"

but as for trunk noise, i don't really have any ideas for you except dynamat.

turn the sub forward and seal if off from the rear of the trunk. It wont eliminate the rattle completely, but it will reduce it.

the best place for sols are like truck boxes behind the seats or a custom box in place or the rear cargo area. but its up to u i guess, i just have a bazooka tube in the trunk. just an idea i see alot with sols

i bet your trunk lid is bent to hell and back 2 ..cuz i had 1 12 bend my trunk and break the webbing from the actual trunk . put subs behind the seats in a sol .. not in a trunk .

yeah, definitely go with the shallow-mount subs, they are made exactly for your situation, they can even fit under seats sometimes, but at the least they go behind them, and not in the trunk, and can handle just as much power as other ones, but you do pay slightly more for the versatility. All in all, it's definitely worth it
