i am looking into getting some volfenhag 12" subs...
but im not too sure what to look for when i am looking at specs...
help me out please.

talking about a subwoofer system for my civic..
please help im not too sure whats good and whats not good by looking at specs..
so if you can tell me what some stuff meen i would be very greatful.

for you application, the 12" volfenhug you'll need a amp pushing out consistant 500rms watts to bump the subss so looking in a 1000 watt amp, just think about it .. the sub needs 500rms (thats consistant wattages from the amp) so dont just get a amp that is rated @ 500 .. gett more watts so it wont over heat the amp, like a Rockford fosgate 900watt amp (MONO) type and i havent personally tested it out.. but its a 4ohm subby so it will probabaly bee good enuff, iono what time of music u listen to but.. it's only going to be strt8 bass, you probably aint going to hear any singing out of that subb because it doesn't supply a DVC... but unless thats what your looking for , and you can upgrade your mids & fronts to back it up,,
IMO i'll prolly look into a 10" subb with DVC (dual voice coil)

dont know too much about it though

the old Volfenhag's were the **** ... the new ones are horrible .. get a better woofer ..like kicker , rockford fosgate T1 , eclipse so on and so forth .
