help amp problem
i have a kicker zx750.1 amp running my type r sub but 2 days ago it made a weird noise and it stoped working lata i checked the amp was still on but it smelled like sumtn burn
does anyone wuts wrong if its fixable or should i just get a different amp?
YOU MIGHT OF BURNED THE CHANNEL IF THERE IS ANOTHER ONE TRY TO HOOK IT UP ON THAT ONE

prob fried look up sound surgens or carrollton sound audio it may can be fixed...
if u call sound surgens ask for delo
if u call carrolton sound audio ask for mark

same **** happend to mine thought i burnt the channels. i replaced the rcas and ddamn if the **** didnt work

You say the the amp is still on, but no sound...?
Possibly you blew the sub. If you can, disonnect your sub, and temporarily hook up another. See if that fixes it.
Of, if you have access to one, check the impedence of the woofer with a multi-meter. This will also help indicate if there is a problem with the sub.

the sub is running should b fine its barely a month old
i put my old amp and its working fine but not gud enough
the thing is the amp smelled like something burned inside
Just because a sub is "barely" a month old, does not mean its not blown....
Switching amps seems to have fixed it...? At lease you know the root of the problem. Most local shops (including the one I work at) should be able to bench-test the amp to see what might be wrong...bad RCA input, bad output, etc.
This information might/might not be helpful to you...depends on if you are looking to get the amp reparied or not.

Mark doesnt work there anymore. Daniel took his spot. They only build/built boxes though.
Bobby and Eathen are the masterminds of installs and such.
Yea, I Don't think Ethan sub contracts his box building work anymore. I know he bought his own equipment and is going to build them himeself/or employee of CCS.

if it smells like burned copper its gone but if not u might be able to save it call sound surgeons
