Default Best way to hook up Sirius

We finally installed my dads Sirius player yesterday and he said he got a little bit of static noise today while driving. We also purchased an FM Modulator but it seemed to work better without it. The sound quality went down just a tad with the FM modulator compared to having it wireless. He has a Clarion headunit that doesn't have an aux input. So what would be the best way to hook up the Sirius player for better sound quality? Or did we hook up the modulator wrong? i don't think we could have wired it wrong but still better to ask

All the sirius units that i have installed in my opinion all have bad fm respection IMO compared to XM. Also the Sirius has to damn undate like 2 to 3 times and the xm doesnt. Even with the sirius connect that use a tuner box to connect to you pioneer, alpine, kenwood etc. The sound quality is not great at all.
