    Default Accord headunit/HVAC control display

    I know this is the wrong area for this but I figured I'd get a much better/faster response here.

    The guy who sits beside me at work has a 03 Accord EX with this headunit/HVAC control unit in it:

    The display isnt working anymore on the unit. Can anyone help with getting a new one for less than $700-$800 like honda quoted him?

    Couldn't he get it replaced under warranty, if it just stopped working?

    Its an 03, no warranty left on it.
