you can invert them just rememeber that because your inverted the woofer displacement will be different so you will have to calculate that into your equation when building the box.

only time you really need to do that is when you have subs both ways, inverted and normal.

I would disagree with that statement.

There is DEFIANTLEY a sound difference. Most people dont have a good enough ears to know what they are hearing, but its there.

Granted, it is VERY slight, but it can be there.

I've noticed a little bit of a flutter with inverted subs in a ported box. Never heard a difference in a sealed one though.

yea you can invert any subs but different subs sound different. like if the sub required a lot of air space then you could cut down the air space and port it and it would sound pretty good but like every one else said either way it will not really make any difference..

my brother had a set up like this in his 280z it was awesome.he had 2 12's in one box but the subs were mounted together with cones facing each other one was in the box the other inverted(magnet up) and set out of phase so when one pushed the other pulled that way they would not slam into eachother.this was proably one of the best sounding systems as far as bass goes ive heard if not the best with only 2 12's and a fairly small amp.
    yes i am....
