Answer: Four hundred and sixty-two:
Twelve to investigate Clinton's involvement in the failure of the old bulb,
Twenty-three to deregulate the light bulb industry,
Sixteen to cut funding for alternative lighting R&D,
Thirty-four to cut the tax rate on light bulbs,
Fifty-three to design a blockgrant so the states can change the bulb,
Forty-one to talk with defense contractors about night-vision gear instead, and
two hundred and eighty-three to pass a law making it illegal to discuss naked bulbs (or screwing anything) on the Internet.
actually it's 463. you missed the 1 republican that should go to jail for lying to a Federal Investigator about improper use of light bulbs.....no wait that wasn't a rep....Originally Posted by dELfONiK

Actually, you would need a few more Democrats:
One to throw a hissyfit halfway through screwing in the lightbulb saying that it is taking too long and that we should have never have tried to fix it in the first place.
One to vote for buying the new lightbulb and then complain about it when they see it ended up costing so much money.
Another to call for an investigation as to why the lightbulb cost so much and the contractor selection process for the procurement of said lightbulb.
One Democrat to call for negotiations between us and the light socket on the status of the bulb.
Finally, when the lightbulb is finally screwed in, one Democrat to report to the media that despite Bush administration interference, they have successfully taken care of the lightbulb and that the universe is safe.
/That should be enough flamewar material for a while.
What if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today.
