Anyone ever heard of these guys? They were a private military contractor operating in Africa back in the late 80's to early 90's. African nations would pay these guys to suppress rebel factions and restore order. For instance, the government of Sierra Lionne(sp) payed executive operations and supplied munitions for them to fight a full scale war and EO took back the entire country from over 18,000 rebels. They did it with 300 men. They were essentially mercenaries and the Clinton administration along with the UN pressured them into leaving Africa and discouraged other African nations from buying their services because they were too good at what they did (They took back an oil reserve guarded by 1,500 militia with only 60 men). EO offered to go into Rwanda, but weren't allowed. They had a big program about EO as well as other private contractors on the History Channel last night. It was called "Soldier for Hire." Really interesting stuff.
