how is it based on race? i dont see anything saying race in that quote at all. what the quote means is if you dont do anything for america your not american.
you could be white/black/green/purple it doesnt matter

what the person is saying is that if you sit there and dont do anything to help out america as a whole you cant call yourself an american.
its like if someone were to be registered on this site dont do anything for the scene and say yea i am in the import scene

in a nutshell it may be true, then again if being born here doesnt make you american. and your of, lets say, asian descent.
