Looking and inquirying for Gwinnet Co/ Atlanta Career
As the Title states, I'm looking to relocate back to the Atlanta Area. I'm currently a correctional Officer here with the lovely state (sarcastic as possible) of South Carolina. I'm looking for something that can sustain a comfortable life style and that stable. No seasonal or part time work as I have a wife and children to care for. Thanks in Advance Guys .. -Dracc
I know it may not completely be your cup of tea, but if you're interested in something different and that supports a fairly comfortable lifestyle and work/life balance... Look into "Software Quality Assurance"
I know a bunch of folks who had no previous computers/IT background who picked this up and got some pretty decent jobs right off the bat. A lot of these places who do software testing are in dire need of folks to do manual or scripted testing of them. Real talk, just youtube or buy some books on this program called QTP, and then just youtube-learn VBScript. If you put ur mind to it, you can have it all down in a month. There are places that will pay like 45k+ if you can show you know what you're doing. Also it's a good career path bc a lot of the movements in that industry can get you 6-figures plus.

Large corps usually use HP Quality Center / Test Director. Its pretty simple to learn to use as a tester for QA, but a lot of large corps have offshored their QA departments.
For stability, look for midsize companies that still develop stateside.

Why don't you try free lancing and try with doing your own work from home. I have been working on odesk and fiverr and it's been a great experience for me.
