If anyone knows anyone that may be interested in joining the Army National Guard but not sure, let me know. I JUST got back from Basic Training/AIT and can answer all their questions to see if its what they really want to do or not. The commercials and recruiters will sell you a dream. I'll give you/them reality. I support it 100% and think its a great, life changing experience. But, I saw a LOT of people get discharged because of dumb shit that they wernt prepared for. Anyway, in a nutshell... you'll go away for 4+ months (depending on what job you chose), and come back with $5000+ in your bank (more if you get bonuses)... then all you are obligated is one weekend a month pretty much.
