    Default Looking for a job!!

I have been looking for a decent job since the beginning of 08 and because I haven't found anything I decided that the best thing to do would probably be to go back to school. Thankfully I was able to get pell to pay for it and now I am currently a full-time student looking for a job somewhere on the marta line, because I no longer have a car. Most of my experience is in security, and warehouse work but I am willing to try just about anything that pays enough for me to survive. I have applied at different companies i.e quicktrip, pizza hut, several security companies, a couple of hotels, and so on. I have been quite unstable since the beginning of 08 and I am hoping that if you happen to know of a position and who to contact please let me know. Please pm any info you have. If you need a referal fee for a definate position let me know. I am willing to do that too. Once again it has to be near the marta line. Thanks for looking out.

in the marta line you got a lot of options, atlantic station (there's a bus from art center), lenox, perimeter mall, etc. i would go in and talk to the manager of every store in those places in person if i was in your position.

Yeah thanks, I've done the walking around and asking about employment. Everyone has online applications now and some of the managers act like they are annoyed when you ask about employment, but I don't care I still ask. Preciate the imput.

get a job in the food industry..... its actually picking up.

also if you wanna make some under the table money get a job detailing cars at a body shop.... youll learn alot and make some decent money....

i bet you could make between 1200 to 1500 just washing waxing and prepping for paint....

maybe get some schoolin on bodywork....

most shop owners need help and if you show up everyday. they will take care of you..

youd be suprised at the shit bags auto shops deal with as employees

If only i knew of some shops looking for inexperienced help. I can change oil, spark plugs, and other small things but nothing like transmissions or a full engine build. IDK...still looking though.

it may be a while before they get back to you but if you are mechanically inclined, lockheed has what amounts to an apprenticeship program. You go to their school for 6 weeks and they pay you for it. After you pass through the school you get a decent raise. I believe they school time is paying about 17/hr and you get a raise to around 19/hr when you get to the production floor.

I have been told lockheed is looking to hire about 1500 people in 2010 just in marietta. Call their HR and ask about the 385 program to get more info.

Good luck on your job hunt, brosky. I was in your same exact situation not long ago. Full-time student needing a job to make ends meet. Finally I found a job and things have gotten alot better as far as money issue's are concerned. Just keep your head up and keep trying. Best of luck, man.
