    Default Scored an interview!!! WOOT!!

Ok, so i scored an interview with wireless expo in dawsonville. i know the owner, and he talked to his store manager (actually the interview will be in blue ridge.. but the store hiring is in dawsonville)

either way, i know i need to dress to impress/shave/prolly should take out my earrings (they are studs but still)...

now they already have my resume and my application... and i did ask if i should bring anything else and they said they didn't need anything.

but what do you guys think.. is there anything extra i should be prepared for??

and the store i will be interviewing in is in a small town.. but the store i will be working in is not...

as far as dressing to impress.... how decked out should i go?? dress pants/shirt/tie/shoes.... or maybe wear a vest or something to jazz it up a bit more??

i guess what i'm asking is can you over dress for an interview??

You can never overdress at an interview. Better to impress than to disappoint.
Looks are part of the overall first impression.

i figure an all out suit could be too much... only because the job wouldn't require wearing one...

but i'll prolly rock dress pants/shirt/vest/tie..

Doesn't matter that they said that. Bring one anyway, cause you know someone there will obviously lose it.

Like this, but the calculator is not a must. It will come in handy past the interview also. Use it to keep paperwork and stuff, and adds to a professional "I mean business" look.

Put your MySpace page on private, change your default pic to something other than you holding a blunt and change your quote to "Jesus is my savior!"

Its possible to overdress for any occasion, including an interview. Its important to dress nicely, but not so nice as to look as if you dont need the job. Black is generally reserved for positions of power, something you might not want to portray at an interview. Chances are you want to leave the 1 button suits, timex watch, and necklaces all at home. grab a decent pen, and paper and head out.

The black reference was mostly for suits. The black 'power suit' lol. Most interviews are not a fashion show, and most Americans (business men included) dress like hell anyways. So chances are your not really going to make an impression with how you dress (a good thing probably), unless you way over the top or dressed like bum (which doesn't sound like the case).

Black slacks and blue shirt, cant go wrong there. Same with the maroon, both very common. Good luck man! Also look into nonverbal communication ( body language) for interviews, its kinda interesting. there are some easy to remember tips like: lean forward a little, dont cross your legs. That kind of stuff. Oh and by no means am i claiming to be some expert, lol

    tomorrow at 11 am

i plan on getting there about 15 min early.

it's awesome that the interview is in blue ridge.. means i can hit my parents house tonight so i can rest up and sleep later tomorrow to look a bit more refreshed.. and it's only about 15 min away from their house.

Fuk an interview tip, just be yourself, if you have the personality to match then it always works. I apparently just wow'd my rep at rht and he is pushin me through the process to try and get work.

So just do ur thing and dont sweat to much... idk why I do lol, but we all pullin for u

well, the interview went well.. no hick-ups. got there 10 min early and was seated and started the interview right away.

The store manager seemed to have liked me. she smiled the whole time and seemed to have in general liked my replies/answers to her questions...

i was told she'd be giving my information over to the district manager and he would probably call to set up an interview...

now i could be wrong BUT i feel like that means i passed her expectations and i'm now being passed up to higher management. as opposed to just hearing "we'll get back to you"

    what's ya'lls take on that???

well, she said probably... that's not a guarantee... but again i feel it's better than "we'll get back to you" or something like that.
