Default What was the most difficult job you've ever held?

I took a job driving a forklift since being axed by my last company. Driving the forklift isn't difficult.. but the hours are insane! 50-60 hours a week. That's working 6 straight ten hour days of constant lifting in a pretty cold ass environment. They actually told us the survival rate for new hires is barely at 15 percent. lol. I'm just glad to have a job really, but holy shit, I think they are trying to kill us so they don't have to pay us...

anyone else have or had a grueling ass job?

current job is demanding but hours/benefits are good. i have to do everything from network administration (my title Net Admin) to web development; basically jack of all trades IT guy. every day is something new so can be quite challenging.

Last job working in a tool store warehouse. 12 hour Friday every week, regardless of if you needed off.

My current job. I haven't been here a year and I am explaining things to people who have been in this business since they were 18yrs old. In May I get the task of doing a national seminar to all the company exec's (i shit bricks already). I am constantly developing SOP's, new processes, and doing implementations. The catch is, I am still learning my companies industry.

    I love it.

Job I held down in Dothan AL. The work was something I enjoy but it was crazy hours. 60+ hours a week. Mon-Sat were all 10 hour days, then an 8 hour day every other sunday.

My current job. Especially before I became local? Not being in the military, imagine having to spend 3-4 weeks away from home and when you do come home, it's only for a couple of days. It's easy as hail work, but difficult in that you are driving 10-11 hours per day. I went through 34 states in my first 30 days of employment at this firm. From Atlanta to Green Bay to Maine to NYC to Orlando and back around. As awesome as it was, it was also a difficult ordeal. Later, QD.

The hardest job i've had also took the biggest toll on my body. Construction. To be more exact sewer repair, manual labor at it's finest and to make it harder sometimes you had to work overnight. It finally took it's tool in the form of a back injury that sidelined me and ultimatly cost me my job.
