Problem with her case is like you said, as a University you don't have to warn of dumb things like uneven payment. If there was a damn 4 ft. hole or something then yeah you have a case, but not being coordinated is not something a Uni can prevent.

the parking lot was barely lit, like i said before.

i didn't trip, my foot got stuck in the crack, like i said before.

i'm sorry but i don't think the university should be allowed to have cracks big enough for my foot to get stuck. what if an old woman had been walking there? she could have easily fell and broke a hip.

but whatevs, i found the information finally to file a claim. if they don't call me within a few weeks, since it is holidays and all, i'm going to start taking legal action.

The fact that you said you've been walking there all semester is all the reason needed for you to not have fallen. Well lit or not, pay attention when you're walking and things like this won't happen. I don't know about you, but when I'm walking places I notice things that might cause me to fall...such as cracks big enough for my foot. You were obviously aware of the cracks and never worried enough to mention them to the school earlier. Seeing as any reasonable person would have been aware of the cracks after walking through the area as much as you and would be cautious enough to avoid injury...I think you're fucked. I kind of hope so too, no one else should be responsible for an injury that could have been prevented by YOU.
