I hate the fact that we are still over there. I honestly feel we need to cut our losses and make the real people responsible for the war which is now suppose to be a peace keeping and rebuilding mission. I 've been to Iraq (twice) and the only difference between the deployments are the attitudes of the iraqi's and the rules of engagement. Granted, I'm not a general or someone in the "know", but what I do know is that we continue lose our own over there, and for what? Make me see the benefits of a US presence over there. Because I really don't see one.

you are right we haven't seen any benefits, and we won't. We were lied to which led us to this war, and I don't see where we have accomplished anything. Our men and women are dying daily for our country, and they shouldn't be over there. We keep feeding money into a war, that looks like it has no end. Mitt Romney actually mandated health coverage in MA, they are now imposing fines (FINES) on people who do not have health coverage. So lets get this straight, penalize those who cannot afford health coverage by fining them?

Social security is supposed to provide for our wellbeing after retirement, that is garnished from our wages as well.. and we see how that is going. Taxes are garnished from our wages and we have the biggest deficit in history, so now you want to garnish health coverage from our checks as well? All while never seeing the benefit of it since those who don't work and illegal immigrants will cripple the system? I anxiously await a response.

Tony think about it. If adults pay for health coverage, the wages you pay will go toward your health care. Now if adults don't pay, for every person that skips out on their medical the taxes you pay will go toward pay off their bill. I don't know about you but I am tired of paying for others bills.

We actually end up pay for it, a lot of old bills are payed by the goverment, using our tax dollars. That is some of the help hospitals get from the government. Once you finally pay those bills, the money gets back to the government. It is like a recycle thing, I have a close friend who is a state rep he let me in on some of the BS that goes on.

I completely agree, her stance is fawked up with the war. But I would rather take care of my own then others. Also no matter what complaints we have, we will always have to pay for something. Even when we get tax breaks we still pay, we just get hit with something else.

Dr. G, I respect your opinion completely but this is my problem with conservatives. I voted for Bush, considered myself pretty conservative but I get tired of policies being built off of fear of the unknown. ANYTHING can happen at any given time, domestic security should be a priority but going into another country and attempting to establish order in a culture that does not accept ours with open arms is a lost cause.

How many resources have to be used and how many soldiers have to die before we realize we are hurting ourselves more than we are helping Iraq? Want to fight terrorism? Stop funding it, this means deal with energy independence, securing our boarders and build a stronger military here.. not in Iraq.

I also agree with you that its a shame that we have lost 3000+ soldiers, and i dont want to sound cold at all because i support our troops more than any other political form, but they new the risk when signing up to be in the armed forces and i cannot think of a more courageous person. And to your ss concern, i believe it will be here. illegal immigrants from a whole do not "use" our money from health care normally they either pay an arm or a leg for whatever servce they get or they dont get any at all. The number one reason for grady hospital being in such the condition and debt that there are in is largely from the homeless community and other people. dont get me wrong i am in no way protecting illegal immigrants, i believe that they shouldnt be here illegaly but if there was some billpassed where allof the were shipped back to mexico, india, africa, and other regions it would severely cripple our system. they have been in our system too long for us to just simply ship them back. and all this bull**** about "the illegals are taking our jobs" are just people bitching. i as well respect your opinions with a few others. this is what makes America great. We are still in vietnam, so what makes people believe that we can just pick up and go from a very hostile country? I dont like the dems especially because of their so called solutions to the illegals. Giving them amnesty is what got us into this in the first place. IMO if you are illegal the govt should take everything they cant carry on their back and auction it. If you harbor them, you should lose your house.
