Default EF Sedan H2B lots of pics

Hey guys I had a older build thread that honestly just got drug out for longer than I intended it to since im making a lot more progress now and im hoping to have engine in by end of june. Ive been slowly gathering parts and working towards dropping a h2b into "something" For a while now but with the combination of other priorities, bad luck, and just not enough time or help until recently a couple times I didn't think it was going to happen but I have to finish this. If you wanna see the old thread I had started its right here>>>My H22a build with pics

On to the details this will be my daily driver so nothing crazy or overly complicated. I decided to drop my h2b in my sedan because well it was there and also because you just don't see as many on the roads as opposed to eg's, ek's at least not in my area.

My plans is to meet around 250hp nothing crazy engine will be stock with a few light mods

    build list will include
    qsd h2b kit
    arp head studs
    arp main studs
    Nippon type s pistons
    manley H beams
    kstuned balance shaft delete
    kstuned manual tensioner
    evolution single pulley
    fidanza lightweight flywheel
    exeedy stage 1 clutch
    low profile pcv valve
    not sure which headers yet
    magnaflow exhaust
    bronze valve guides
    stock cams (for now)
    stock crank
    p28 ecu chipped with chrome
aem fuel rail, earls inline fuel filter
an plumbing for brake and fuel lines SS
    innovative crossmember
    innovative solid mounts
    oem water pump, gaskets etc

Other things I am doing as well is a full engine bay shave/tuck including brake lines, fuel lines, battery/fuse box relocation, only thing I wanna see is engine when im done I will retain heat and wipers but no ac of course.

I also have to make my own brackets to convert my clutch over from cable to hydro and make a alternator mounting bracket to run a 88-91 alternator with 3 rib pulley for as much clearance as I can get. I will bang the frame rail if I just have to but that's a last resort. Supposed to have a friend come over next week to help sort out the wiring

later I think I will be adding a mild cam, skunk2 cam gears, 68mm throttle body, skunk2 intake manifold,

After the swap goes in my next goal will be paint and rims

    Hope you guys enjoy

Was supposed to finish painting but I just didn't feel comfortable with the humidity level so decided yo work on assembling the rods / pistons and start putting together the bottom end

    Manley rods / Nippon pistons

Got 2 pistons in and stupid ring compressor crapped out on me and ended up breaking oil rings. On 3rd

Decided I would just finish the bottom end and wait to get the new rings got the new main/rod bearings in and unfortunately the thrust washers wouldn't fit.

So build will be put on hold for now until more parts come in

Since the bay is done I started some more assembly on the engine its taking me a bit longer than I like but not trying to rush (my actual first time assembling Honda engine myself ) mainly looking at service manual and finding where all my original parts that came with the engine went to after the move getting back organized was able to get the bottom end assembled the other night along with torque down ARP main studs and ARP rod bolts

Today I got the head bolts torqued and test fit the oil pump

Worked on it some more a lil past dark and got the intake attached head assembeled and vtec bolted up

Worked on engine couple more min tonight but did a lot more than it looks like. I has to blast and respray oil pan and clean up a lot of parts .

Managed to get the oil pickup , oil pan , thermostat housing and innovative Mount put on cleaned up intake manifold since it was dirty.

Talking to someone we may go get some material and do a one off intake but for now this one will do.

Custom intake? Just pull the butterflies, port it and weld up the runners.

That is exactly what I was going to do for the time being but this is for down the road.

After I get a few more things done on the engine.

I will move back over to the car and work on the tucked brake lines.

I also gotta pull the pedal assembly out and weld a bracket for the hydraulic clutch.

I really wanted to go with EF hush performace hydro conversion but I'm trying to save some cash.

I'm still lacking a couple parts to finish the build I made a to do list and it includes figuring out what injectors to run and what fuel rail to get since my feed lines are on passenger side of engine

I still have to get a clutch CV axles half shaft obd 0 to obd 1 and make the custom harness. Was going to just go with a rywire or chasebays but that will have to be something I get later on if I wanna get it back on the road sooner than later

Decided to go ahead and convert my clutch pedals over to hydro setup. It was not as hard as I thought it would be and with using 1/4 steel its prob overkill but it works and the welds will break before anything else

Decided today was a good day to drop the the whole front end to get cleaned up and paint...
    Un bolted

    Needs more low

Since that was out of the way decided to go ahead and apply some fresh under coating when though it won't be seen much once its all back together I felt better about doing it.

Next I drilled last 2 holes needed to tuck the front brake lines back to the prop valve on the back side of the fire wall

I was kinda mad at the cost of this tool but it has been well worth the money paid for it. Has made flaring ss lines a breeze
