mmmmm yeah grl that's reeeeeaaaaaaalll nice. good job man! love it.
Installed the clutch and flywheel today with my buddy. Install was a breeze only took 3 hours from start to finish, this is the lightest transmission i've ever dealt with. Everything is easily accessible and there is room for miles in the trans tunnel.
Also changed over to redline MT-90 transmission fluid since ive heard great things about it.
Stock flywheel is 21 lbs, new flywheel is 11 lbs

Very nice. Is that a compressor wheel next to a oil filter? Did you fashion it as a cap of some sort?... Do all boxer engines come with a inverted oil filter housing?
It's a new thing for the FA20 motor as the oil filter on an EJ motor is located on the bottom next to the exhaust manifold.
Looks great Justin. Need to see some videos! Do you still have the accord?
I came back into this thread to bed wow'd.
And wow'd I was.
It just keeps getting better. Awesome build :goodjob:
Thanks guys,
Another update today..........
I HATE,HATE,HATE gauge pillar pods and refused to put one in this car. They just looks tacky to me so for a while now I've had my boost gauge hidden in my glove box along with a wideband. Well I found this company (P3cars) that makes some very nice, sleek factory looking gauges for audis, bmw's and VW's. they hadn't really done any toyota/scion/subaru work before until now. They use the OBD2 diagnostic port for the brains of their gauges and the power supply. Basically anything that your cars computer monitors can be displayed on the gauge. Simply by plugging in a obd2 connector. Also has the option to add up to 3 other external sensors to read whatever you choose. They integrate their gauges into the air conditioning vents for a hidden look using quality OEM parts for the housings. But anyways I talked to them and they had this gauge designed and I'm beta testing it for the FRS/BRZ/GT86 platform. The gauge is sick and seriously installed in seconds, and monitors everything below...
Air fuel ratio, EGT temps, oil temps, coolant temps, IAT temps, oil pressure, boost/ vac pressure, battery voltage, 0-60 times, speed, engine RPMS, shift light, throttle percentage, ignition timing, can also read, display and clear codes.

Finally finished these bad boys this afternoon....
Some may not like it, but with me recently seeing a few other FRS's on the internet popping up with same wheels as me, I decided to make mine a little different. And hell, I'm a Painter by profession and I love bright bold colors so why not right???
Started by prepping them with some degreaser, scuffing them with a red scotch bright pad, taping them out, wiping them down with wax and grease remover, spraying them with House of Kolor Orion silver metallic basecoat, then 6 coats of House of Kolor candy purple with an ounce of purple pearl dust added, and then finally 3 coats of Clear. That candy paint is some very tricky stuff but I got it to lay down great after a couple test panels. I love how it came out. In person it almost looks anodized, such a deep wet purple. I've also ordered factory replacement "work emotion" spoke decals.
I've also finally talked myself into going with the rocket bunny kit, but mine will be molded in, not riveted.....

I love your style........ the subtle changes make such a big difference. Those tail lights look soooooooooo much better....
That color is awesome.... and you did a great job on it.....
but not sure how i feel about it on wheels.... gonna have to marinate on it for a few.
I fucking love that color.
Sent from my Galaxy Note II
The rocket bunny kit is sick, but then you'll have to buy new wheels again.
What's the whp like now on that thing?
I want to hate that wheel color choice, but I'm finding it hard to.... It just looks so damn good against the white..
Purple? man this build was so sweet untill now. Blech. please go back to grey.
So while hanging out with the family today, me and my dad decided to clean up my trunk/sub setup on my car. Started with an old sub box that wouldn't fit in my trunk. Cut the sides, and top/bottom off. Salvaged the front and partial sides. Got some 3/4" MDF and my dad went to it making the new top, bottom and back to fit the angle of my trunk perfectly. Then got some old fiberboard to make a template for the front leather face panel. After making sure that fit, transferred the pattern to some 1/2" plywood and went to work with the jigsaw. Ran to hobby lobby, grabbed a yard of vinyl replica leather and some 3M adhesive. Wrapped the front panel and this is the final result.... I'm very pleased, fits perfect and looks factory.
