While the car was at the paint and body.. I continued what I can at home..

Test fit the intake manifold to the short block..

Than I disassembled my throttle body and painted to match..

I also painted my GREX/Alcon calipers.

but one of them needs to be refinished...

Sand blasted by suspension pieces and bead blasted..

And pushed the old bushing out and I accidentally broke one of the arm as I was going on little sleep and rushing the work..

And installed my new Powerflex bushings! I got the Powerflex bushings because they are well made and heard great things from people who used them.

If the FC is put back together by then, you will see me. If not, I'll still come in another car.

Here is something rare for the car..

Defi Super Sport Cluster.. very few in usa and I should be one of the first to put this in an FD here in USA.

I been wanting to get this for about 8 yeears and Defi never sold this here and never sold this off the shelf in Japan. It was specific Dealer only unit in Japan where it had to be installed in a car by the authorized installer in Japan. All the ones that are here in USA were used units and this is a brand new unit.

I wouldnt have minded seeing 1 shortcut, but this is a fantastic build. I've been drooling over it since it was posted.

During this build, I had a chance to go visit Chris Ludwig from Ludwig Motorsport to check on the harness for the engine.

We decided to use the AEM coils with the Haltech PS2K.

    Mil-spec connector..

Here is something new for the 20B that I'm debuting..

ITs the new Xcessive Engineering lower intake manifold for the 20B. This is made for those interested in doing 3 rotor swap on RX7s, by lowering the height of the manifold and also each runner has an individual injector port. By using this, I'll be running 6x ID2000s on this manifold and 3x ID1000s on primaries on the irons. This much fuel, I'll be good for E85, 1000+WHP.... but shooting for 700-800 ish WHP.

I also studded the LIM and cut various FD hardwares to get this studded look with chrome hardwares. Also, better view of the LIM with UIM.

My off time past week, I was fabricating a blank cluster surround so I can retro fit my Defi cluster.

about 50% done and going to make a mold once its smoothed out, primered, painted, and then make it in CF.

    Also, AC panel

    and shifter panel

Lot of sanding fiberglass but hopefully all will be worth it at the end..

Sure you must be loaded in $$$$ to get all these expensive parts and fabrication done, this Build is way way over the Do it yourselves built in this or any forum i have been, dont know if thats why i am not that impressed with it, dont get me wrong, this will be an awesome piece of machinery right here, but IMO if you got loads of $$$$ anyone can do the same with any other car, and not that it is a bad thing no, is that i do appreciate more when is self custom done and not with over the counter fancy parts.

Good luck with your car it sure worth the pages of any magazine,

LOL! Not sure if you are insulting me or appraising me.. In my excuse, I have spend years trying to collect these parts and if you had the money to source them now, I think you will see that some parts you see here, you would still have to take time sourcing out. Also, I am doing as much stuff myself as I can and been into these cars for over a decade and sourcing parts and planning for 7+. I'm sure anyone who had build cars in the past will know, not everything can be done all yourself... And I'm also networking to make sure its done right. I do agree that sometimes its more appreciative to build everything yourself and not money thrown in. But I assure you, I do know my stuff and this isn't something where money is thrown in and I been sitting aside watching someone build it.

No, not insulting by any means, just my humble opinion my friend, anyways it is a superb built, and i guess yes, some parts you got there, no matter if you are loaded sourced em to get em is almost impossible,

Keep going with it and show a lot of pictures.

I will say I am very lucky. As this unit was never sold to an individual in a box in Japan. All the unit sold in Japan had to be installed in a car and hence never sold out of the box. I've tried to source this unit for years. Again, stuff like this is when I say its not all about the money and also fun part of building cars. I think some think its about making things by yourself but there is no way you can.. if so, I guess we all need to be a renaissance man and have unlimited time and money to make parts..

It is all depends the way you look at it my friend and also the kind of buildup you are doing have to do with it to, but yes, the fun part sometimes is the search for those key components that set apart a buildup, and make it different,

In my Dodge Dart project i am fabricating all by myself in my carport, making all the modifications to the chassis and building the engine with a combo of my own recipe, yes buying some good stuff here and there, finding some hard to find not available parts also,

I think is all about the kind of built we choose to deal with, just my honest opinion!

I finally took some time to work on the rear diffs of the FD RX-7s.

Here are some pics of the diffs.

    Stock vs Kaaz

After cleaning the case, sanding it down, and re painting it with epoxy paint,.. I put the new covers on.

Stock vs. Greddy higher fluid capacity cover.

    Sept. 30th, 2012

I'm debating about the interior and test fit the Takata Harness on the Spirit R Recaros.

Let me know what you prefer?

Also, got my VS-XX refinished/powder coated and put new Toyo T1-Sport tires. I've heard great things about these and can't wait to test them out.

**They are not going on this 3 rotor project car**

Past couple of days, I decided to strip off my spare RZ hub assemblies and fix up the rotor back plates and such.

Fronts fixed and degreased... Test fitted the new DBA rotors.. Shaved some metals so DBA rotors can freely spin.

    Rears fixed and degreased

My good friend Bryan from BNR Supercars is going to let me use his cabinet to blast the rust and such off so I can get the prettied up today.

Also, I received some goodies from Turbonetics.

    Their GT-K 1050!!!!

I also got my ID1000's. Bought them from Full Function Engineering. Awesome service and makes some cool stuff for rotaries! Thanks guys!!!

Also, got the eye bolts for the Takata Harnesses.. Can't wait to install them and go for a ride

    And finally,

The engine... Oil pan on, Oil pan brace on, and mounted on my spare FD subframe.
