Default Build Done, Now For Upgrades!

Now that the engine broken in and most bugs are gone, it's time to upgrade! Sucks that I won't be here to do most of them on the account of me being deployed to Afghanistan. But it's all good, won't stop me from making it faster.

Here's what I have so far:

    Skunk2 Pro 1 Cams
RC 310cc or 440cc Injectors (Need to do research)
    Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
Skunk2 Carbon Composite (Mostly for bling factor lol)
    AEM Fuel Regulator
    Skunk2 Intake Manifold
    AEM Cold Air Intake w/Bypass
2.5 Exhaust (Need to do research)
GSR or B16 Tranny w/ LSD

Any advice is welcome and definitely appreciated.

    EDIT:

    This is a LS/VTEC

    Now:180whp
    Shooting for: 200+ whp

    SPEC as of now:

    11.5:1 Pistons
    Eagle Rods
    Water and Oil Pump
    Ferrea Valves
    Blox Valvesprings and Retainers
    BatlGround Header
Stock Injectors, Fuel Pump, B16 Cams, Intake Mani
    LS Tranny
    Magnaflow Exhaust 2.25

If it doesn't have a nice ACT or spec stage 2 clutch, I'd put in one of those. I love the feel of a nice firm clutch. Also some good motor mounts, hasport or something like that.

    What motor is it? GSR?

Lol, sorry about that. It is a LS/VTEC. I already have the hasport mounts.

My hp goal is 200+ whp. Currently at 180whp.

What kind of head/intake manifold do you have? pistons? cams? I would recommend a 3" exhaust.... and also are you currently running a ls tranny?

B16 head, B16 intake manifold, B16 cams, and I think that the pistons are 11:1 high compression

LS tranny besides being the only thing that was available and that he was at first going to boost it.

similar to what mine was...but i had higher compression. It really made 180whp? damn with b16 IM i only made 166, i would deff do a skunk2 intake manifold with 65mm tb, i saw some very nice gains with mine

I'll second the skunk2 intake manifold and 65 or 68mm throttle body, I love my setup.

I would have to disagree, with a stock b16 head meaning cams, valvetrain, etc. the best manifold is the stock manifold. Changing it out to a skunk2 would not be that much beneficial. With the skunk2, you lose all of your low-midrange with a little gain on top.

And 62mm throttle body is the largest I would go with a stock b16 head.

    ^^^
didn't see that this was a ls/v build, sorry about that, the o.p. didn't state what motor this was. I thought he had a complete b16 motor.

lol. IMO, his setup would benefit from the IM and TB.
My car will break the tires loose by punching it in first at any RPM... doesn't seem too much of a loss to me

Yep, 180whp. Definitely going to try and order that intake mani either tonight or Thursday. Not sure about the tb though. Scotty from Mainstream said I should keep the stock one... But I'm definitely going to do some research on all of this.

Ok, took me a second to find where they moved this lol.

I will pm you my graph and show you some differences..

I would deff switch to a walbro. Injector wise, if you dont plan on spraying it in the future 310s should do the trick. And also like i said earlier do the intake manifold. The reason i stated a 65mm tb is because the Skunk2 Pro series intake manifold tb opening is 65mm so you are basically matching it instead of having 5mm of air hitting a "wall". Tranny wise either one will work, there will be a huge difference from the ls. Evan and myself run a b16 tranny, which will be better for the track. If you dont mind crusing around at about 3500-4000 then b16 is the way to go. GSR i would recommend if you do alot of highway driving. Although i still avg 30mpg with the b16. But from LS to gsr/b16 it will be night and day difference. The cam choice is really up to you, it really comes down to what you want out of the motor and is it reliable(assuming it is a daily driver) enough to drive a certain amount of miles a week. Im still in that stage of figuring out which ones to get, but im more than likely going with S2S2. Btw is the head ported any?

Haven't got to weigh it with the new setup. I have heavier rims, a heavier engine, and lighter seats, so I would definitely like to see what it is now. But before it weighed 2085 w/o m in it.

Chris, get stock dsm injectors. They are 440 I believe. They are a common upgrade on hondas. They will also be cheaper than buying "upgraded injectors" for the honda, just because they are stock. Just my .02, save ya some money and give you the same results.
