I want to so bad. BUT i got to finish my bike first. I am so closes to getting it on the road. For the 455 all I really need to a valve train and heads. If I wanted to cut corners and throw so good numbers. I was going to go headers. BUT but I don't like my car sitting stock height. So Im going to put manifolds on it and put my lowering springs on it and that should solve my exhaust scrubbing issues. And roll the rear fender. I will probably lose 10 or 15 hp from not going headers but it will have all I really need for the street. Plus it will help for low end torque.

What all do you plan on doing with it? Little intake, carb, and cam?
You going to go back with the sportlines? I bet that front end would be low as hell with that big motor in there too.

Well the deciding factor is pistons. I brought a set of Factory hi-comp piston 9.3:1 there sitting on the floorboard of the camaro. But I want the Speed Pro forged piston .030 over. They will put me at 9.6:1. I will probally get them. But either way Im going to shaved the heads .020. And in either case will have a CR of 9.8:1 I will use a different head gasket to get me there. I got a guy in west georgia that is goin to sell me some 1970 455 heads. I will have alot of money in them Harden valve seats, enlarge valves, 3 angle valve job, and port match heads. Im going to run nice big block cam JM-20-22 Intake lift 0.496 Exhaust lift 0.512 266°/274° 226° 230° 110° 1400-5800
With a Performer intake and I got me a Holley 4160 750cfm last week. Plus the complete MSD. It should be a really strong engine.

My powerband will be around 1200-5000. Since I using exhaust manifold. And the type intake Im using with the cam.

So alittle run down.
K&N Airfilter
Holley 750 Vacuum Secondary Carb
Edelbrock Performer Intake.
1970 E heads
0.496/0.512 lift cam
9.8:1 CR
Complete MSD
Stock Exhaust Manifold
And electric fan, electric fuel pump, no emission, no a/c

I kinda did that for myself. Brainstroming

And the 455 weight about 20 more then the 307.
