    Default Purchasing advice

I'm looking at a 93 325Is. Just curious as to some common problems with these cars and what to look for other than the obvious. Thanks in advance.

    Cooling system, Mainly.
    All the hoses and fans.

Those are known to wear out and leak.

Thats all that I know of. Other than that they are very solid fun cars.

check the shifter bushings if it is a 5spd
check the clutch fan and the aux fan for play
    check the sunroof for functionality
the blower motor (ac) at all speeds
make sure the rear trailing arm bushings are good
the lower control arm bushings as well
    check the guibo(flex disk)
check the expansion tank sitting on the side of the radiator for leaks coming from anywhere especially the bleeder screw on top of it
if it is a car with vanos, listen to the vanos for any wierd noises
check the return line for the power steering
check the intake boot elbow for any cracks
check the tail lights if one is blown actually take the bulb out and look at the socket on the tail light assembly
if it has digital AC check the capacitor inside by turning up the interior lights all the way and see if the ac unit lights flicker
check the OBC for dead pixels
make sure the valve cover and vanos solenoid are not leaking any oil

PM me when you go to check one out and ill go with you if i am available there is alot to look for
