Need everyones opinion

well, not really opinion but yalls insight i guess into what i should do. Im really thinking about going ahead saving up for a new engine and postponing everything else. I was going to get a hood, new lights, OEM fog lights and what have you.....but im tired of my engine lagging. what should i get or do? i really dont want to have to change out everything...like spend another 600 dollars on an exhaust so i kinda want to keep the one i have....but whats yalls suggestions....im really seriously thinking about this....

yeah iw as thinkign of doing somethign like that , but im not sure, i mean righ tnow i apparently gotta fix a few things on the engine that are breaking down and what not. like seals and what have you. so i mean if i rebuilt this motor that would be fine, but i dont really want to completely take it out and be with out a car for a long time, cuz i dont have any other form of transportation.

boost will just lead to more problems. He already mentioned that the current engine needs new seals. If you want minimal downtime, get and build a spare block, while putting up with the current one you have.

u won't be happy with a swap unless u go K-swap...u'll still be considered slow. Save up for mild motor build and boost. Will cost you same as a swap, but way more HP.

then get head work done. dual valve springs, retainers, pnp, and some crower 404's that wouldnt cost that much if you search while your saving or you can pm dori dori and buy built ls head and cams and drop it on your block and sell the your stock head.
