Default Next Yaris Mod: Spoiler or Exhaust?

Okay, so I'm ready for my next Yaris mod. Money is ready and I'm torn between two items. Here they are...

Toyota Rally Spoiler - $250 (Painted & Installed)

Just a rear spoiler for the hatch. The rear end is just too plain as it stands right now. I think this adds just enough flare without being too ricey. I don't give a sh*t how aerodynamic it is or isn't, I just want it to look better.

    or...

Tanabe Touring Medallion Exhaust - $300

Not a huge fartcan, just a low-key muffler system to give the car a nice steady tone. It sounds decent from what I've heard on the vids I've seen. The HP gains are slim so I'm not looking at it from a performance standpoint. Just need to give the car some tone so that I can tell when it's running and when it's turned off.

I'll be getting both either way, just wanted to see which one you guys would do first. Thanks for the input.

I agree, not like shit but it looks whimpy. What I would do it get the spoiler, see if you can find a better on eother the spoiler or paint, and I would get a midpipe, the size you want with the stock tip. All would come out to ~$320

It's either that, or I spend $600 on a Fujitsubo.

Nah. I did that to my MSM and while it sounded mean as hell, I just can't see the Yaris sounding like that.

Then dont man, build yourself a custom one with a resonator and a quiet muffler, or even hide the tip and have it turn down behind the bumper. Honestly that car has no real opening or slot for a tip. That's the route id go.

I may do that. I would like the car to have some sort of tone. I'll explore my options a bit more. Also, the Toyota Modellista kit that I want to get has an exhaust cut in it so I gotta plan ahead for that.

Good call. It doesn't really have an outlet for exhaust.... it would look clean without a tip showing.

Hmm...never thought of that. I wonder where they'd put the muffler tho. The axle-back is really short and I was trying to keep that so I could swap back to stock easily incase I needed some warranty work. I'll think about that though.

I suppose it could be done. Take this Yaris for example. Converted to RWD and powered by a 2.7L Tacoma engine.

Spoiler. I'm usually against aero and body mods, but in this case I say definitely go with the spoiler since you aren't going to really get much from the exhaust other than noise. I don't like the idea of a Yaris with a loud exhaust roaring down the highway. lol
