Default Supercharged GSR or Type R (engine)

Ok if you got to choose which engine set up to get a GSR B18C1 with a Jackson Racing Supercharger or just a stock Type-R B18C5. The supercharged GSR would be faster but the a Type-R motor is just cooler. PICK ONE help me decide.

B18c5 FTW! They are stronger engines! Think about it.. everyone and there mom has a B18c1.. not many people have c5's they are rare as shit, and they have one mean ass VTEC! go c5! trust me, I've been in a EG's with a Supercharger c1 and it was fast, but i've also been in a c5 EG and it was fast as shit as well.. i guess what I'm trying to say is... Either way your going to be quick, but the c5 has more potential!

right and wrong...depends on budget aqnd future expectations...getting a c5, you might get bored with real quick, where as a boosted gsr...

Yeah but this is going to be in an Integra with a little more weight the supercharger helps alot with the torque...

if you lowered the compresion of the c5

c5's make better n/a motors...require an assload of money to make it reasonable w/ forced induction

c1's handle boost better than c5's

but that's why people boost the LS's cuz they already have low compression

I still like the Type-R with some 12:1 pistons over a sc b18c1...the c5 is pretty much a track motor out the box

Supercharged GSR (B18C1) is the right choice.

Put it this way. They type r motor makes 190 stock. The GSR makes 180 stock.

Even if i was going stock to stock 10hp is not worth the extra 1000-1500 bucks. Go with the supercharger and be faster. When you walk a car with a stock c5 youll be thanking yourself. But he will be so much jdm tyte cooler than you it wont matter. FUCK EM.

i'm sorry there is a poll for this shit... what is so cool about a 10hp gain? am i missing something... JDM is for fags who need larger balls to impress their lame friends... JDM isn't shit unless it is RHD and even then... its just a car. you would be dumb not to supercharge your ride.

How is this even a debate? Type-r's require alot more money to make faster being that they come with 11:1 compression, mild cams, and factory minor porting. All a Type-R is is a GSR block and a B16 head. P72 heads have quench pads, which is a flat area on the combustion chambers, that help prevent detonation. On top of that, if you intend to keep it a stock motor, just swap in some ITR cams into the GSR SC'd and you'd walk a P73 equipt car all day long.
