    Default understanding this boost guage

    hey my buddie has a boost guage that is diferent than mine, we don't no what lbs. he is runnin. it reads between 1.0 and 1.5 . how many lbs. is he pusin?

    That is BAR, bar is a metric pressure reading.. and 1bar=14.7 psi.

    14.7 psi is the normal atmospheric pressure

    how do you not understand a boost gauge?? before i flame, im assuming that he/you bought a car with it already installed

    actually, atmospheric pressure, or bars is dependant upon your altitude. at sea level (0 ft) its 14.7 psi,

    the higher you are the lower it is

    nice conversion chart^ havent seen that one before, of course i only used autometer psi gauges though
