What kinda paint can i use to powdercoat my header. I hate the way the look like, they are kinda rusty and i dont like the color of them anyway.
I may be wrong but i dont think u can just powder coat with paint u have to like use a powder and then have it baked on I beleive but like i said i might be wrong
imo i would just save up money and get new ones....
You know better; next time will be a ban.
That's exactly correct.Originally Posted by Interlude

Get them coated and call it a day. It reduces underhood temps anyway, so that's a bonus. They won't ever rust again too.![]()
they have high temp powders (1000F sustained)
although the finishes are pretty crappy, and they do not hold up to abuse/water/mud/dirt/coolant as well as ceramic

Either way, I would not recommend powdercoating anything exhaust related. And I don't even like heat wrap although I do use it on my own car. I would suggest Ceramic Coating!
my turbo manifold was painted w/ that stuff and w/in about two weeks all of it had burned off. im usually around 1250-1300 degrees in boost.Originally Posted by T0PSE-R
I just painted the headers a week ago, and they arent on the car yet but I put about 3 heavy coats on. Hopefully it will last.Originally Posted by T0PSE-R
