ok i got a mk1 mr2 and the radio works but it shorts out. when it shorts out the clock goes out to. i rewired the harness inbetween the radio and the connector and it still doesnt work any idea what is could be. any help would be great thanks.

Posibly an exposed wire grounding somewhere? Your best bet would be to trace all wires and make sure there is no exposure/breakage. If you can't figure it out I would definately take it somewhere to be looked at.
