    i work with this guy who thinks he drives the ultimate of all 4 cylinders, he has a base model cavelier, and he swears to me on the daily about how fast it is and how he can run any honda or nissan or anything on the road, I have a 00 civic si and he wont shut the fuck up about how fast his shit is, I was just coming on here so I can show him what other peoples opinions are on the subject.

    yeah no shit, i raced him yesterday and left his fuckin doors on the ground, but he still swears that his ecotec:jerkit: motor is badass, i keep tellin him its a grocery getter and thats it.

    Caveliers have been billed by many magazines as one of the worst compacts of all time- hence they do make the cavalier name anymore- they revamped it to be the cobalt which is much improved.

    Had a cavalier- glad that pos is gone!

    he is not lying about the POTENTIAL of the ECOTEC --> http://www.gm.com/company/racing/tec.../FWDEngine.htm

    SCC did a review on the motor. But the odds that he id modding it seriously is slim.

    yeah he has tried to fill me in on the eco tec, i know the cobalt ss will run, but the cavelier base model? im not so sure
