    Default HID HELP

i've never fucked with HID's before.. the STi and the Z are the only cars i have ever had that came with HID's. my question and problem are the following:

i slapped a D2cS bulb that is supposed to work with D2s and D2r in the 350z. however im supposed to use d2r's (have like a silver ribbon around bulb) and im not getting good visibility. actualy.. i can barely see streaks of hid blue on the road. ( i just did this half assed in GGPIS3's garage last night ), bulbs are 10,000k or whatever.. did i go to high in temp?.. is there a chance i didnt fit the bulb in right?.. do i need to realign the headlight?.. whats the deal here?

any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too sure about the bulb compatibility, but be sure that bulb is seated correctly if anything. I don't think you should have to re-aim your lights though.

also remember, a 10k bulb's output is considerably less than what you're probably used to ... so maybe that's it.

d2s and d2r will fit in the same housing; however, d2r is strictly made for refelctor housings (Sti) not Projector hosuings (Evo)

10,000Kelvin bulbs are trash when it comes to output- you'll actually experience a loss of output/visibility as you climb the kelvin scale.

    you need 4100, 4300k - 6,000k max
