What size are the stock injectors on a 2000 Civic Si? What size do i have to upgrade to if i want to run like 4 lbs of boost with a turbo, Do I have to upgrade at all?

4 psi? Why in the hell? There are almost no performance benefits from that?
This is just cheapest way I can get a blow off valve to work on my car.
use a fmu, missing link and put a fuel pump in. u can prolly get by without the fuel pump but i suggest dropping one in. u can run ur stock injectors on that with that little boost. The reason hes running that low boost is bc the compression of his mtr is so high the dnt handle boost well. u can use a vafc to fine tune that setup also which is kinda cool.
Then buy lower compression pistons or dont turbo it. I mean you wont make much power with a high compression honda motor and 4 pounds of boost. Just my 2 cents I wouldnt want to spend that much money for nothing.
How much boost do you think i can run on stock injectors, before i have to change to bigger ones?
How much boost is safe on a Stock B16A. If it helps i ALWAYS run 91 Octane
u can run 6lbs on a stock b16 with stock compression just make sure its tuned by somebody who knows what they are doing. they blow the ring lands out so quick on low boost its scary.

whats the octane at the pumps, like 92 or 93 right? thats what ppl run with the greddy kit on 6lbs. it definitely has to be tuned and tis still risky thats y i didn tleave mine at stock compression. that is true bout coffee can with rocks on warm day though. lol!!!Originally Posted by HiPSI
So it would be bad to run at a MAX boost of 4 lbs?
Don't turbo it unless you have bigger injectors and lower compression.Originally Posted by 2000CivicSi

For a Honda question like this, I might suggest to call the guys at Mahdavi Motorsports (770-92-1550). I think they could help you out...or possibly one of the other IA sponsor shops...
You are missing a # in that phone #... LOL
tell us your setup....turbo, wastegate, manifold, engine management...
if you're gonna run 4psi max... get a sc. i dont know if a wastegate will allow a max boost of 4psi LOL....
if you want the cheap way.. fuel pump, 310 injectors or dsm450 and atleast 8-10psi.
a few years back we made 570whp on a completely stock gsr motor and other have made over 600. its all in the tuning....

if you're going to do that you might as well contact mainstream. you'll get just as nice a kit if not better for around the same $$.

Tial makes wg springs as low as 3.63 psi and 5.80 psi. but thats besides the point. if you are going to turbo it... do it right. the lower the compression, the higher boost you can do. high compression is for nitrous. as far as the injectors go... if the stock ones are 240cc then it wouldnt be tragic if you kept those injectors at 4psi but i would recommend getting bigger ones anyway. cause everyone gets the boost bug. you will want more psi. what else do you have for your turbo set up already?

Thats not neccessarly true.. high compression is for turbo also... its just it takes more to tune it right... higher compression will usually yeild more hp per psi. doing it right would be to build the engine, run an engine management, larger injectors, and tuning it.Originally Posted by d4s2m0a

Read peoples signatures. They have their number everywhere on here.
Well do you have #'s??? I know how, just dont have any #'s
we can make you a kit but it'll be expensive. mainstream....look at the banners or contract vteckidd

Word to the wise, your car is going to be slow with 4 psi on a t3/t4. Laggy and slow.
So what do i do?Originally Posted by 1439/2000
Get a t25/28. Something smaller and run 7 pounds with a good tune and injectors.
Faster spool, better powerband and more worth your time if you dont want to build the motor. You can buy used DSM 450cc injectors for cheap and put them in.
Can you get that in a Kit?
Why would a T25/28 be better then a T3? am i going to avhe to do less modification to to motor in order to get the same result? I guess what i am asking is why all of the turbo kits for a Si include a T3/4 not a T25/28...?
I can get you a t25/28 with the option for ball bearing. the Kit would be from turbo specialties and you can get it with Injector Controler and a ecu black box, intercooler, piping and more. Pm for priceOriginally Posted by 2000CivicSi

Because its a generic kit. If you get a manifold with a t2 flange you can put a t25 on it or a t28.
you know someone who can make me a kit? with a T25or T28,manifold, intercooler, BOV, pipeing, injectors, ect. the whole "Bolt on Kit"

Look, if you need a "kit" maybe you arent ready to go turbo. Read up more and do your research about compressor maps and stuff like that before jumping into this.
Turbos that are effiecnt at 20 psi dont need to be run at 4, cause it wont do anything.
A smaller turbo matched with the right motor makes a better combo.
i know what i need it is just that i was always looking at T3's i never even thoguth to look for a smaller turbo
i cant find a manifold anywhere for a B16A that will hold a T25. I found some adapter plates but i want to do it the right way...
looking for a kit becasue i would think that it would be the cheapest way but i guess someone is putting all that stuff together and charging me more for it is it prolly isnt better in the long run...
A well fabricated adapter plate can be used without restrictiong that much flow.
As said before, if you want to "do it the right way", build the motor, run an EMS, run bigger injectors, and all other supporting mods.
If you want it done the "simple" way, which 99% of EBay Honda Turbo Kits are geared towards, trust the vendors that whatever turbo they slap on their kit will provide you with whatever it is that suits your needs.... and everyone's needs are not the same.
You might wanna browse Honda-Tech and get some general info about the advantages and disadvantages of different specific turbos one your stock motor before you buy a random kit on EBay.
Anything under 7psi on your motor is a waste of time from what I've noticed. BTW, I have a set of (4) 550cc injectors for sale outta my car if you need 'em. =]

I dont want to spend 5k on a car that is worth twice that. all i want is some pep not a 10 second car.
Looks like you're biggest concern is price... which is understandabe. In that case, I'd honestly browse around for used turbo kits for your motor. They're a dime a dozen and quite a few for sale locally too... even on this forum.
Just remember, when it comes to performance, you have to pay to play. =]

Going turbo is not cheap. If you just want a little more power, i would say go with a nitrous kit.
