Well you have a few options you could

    1. Give Bisimoto access to all your assets and ask him to build it for you
    2. Sell your car and purchase an LSX powered car
    3. Place your single cam under the dyno while you tune in your 300 hp K series
    4. Give up on n/a and turbo charge it

The fourth option is the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to achieve your 300hp goal. Out of curiosity though why did you arbitrarily choose the number 300?

All motor you'd need at least an f series, its been done before. It'll cost you $20,000-30,000 for everything.

Or $2000 for a turbo kit to make the same power.

300whp all motor isn't doable on a single cam

    Few, simple, unstreetable things.

Turbo it, and be done. But unless you throw some pistons/rods/headstuds you still will be shy of your number.

All motor it ain't gonna happen cheaply. I'll be lucky to see 160whp and I have a lot of work and money in my build. And I might see 250 with the nitrous. That's a big maybe. Just go boost and be happy with the easily attainable 300hp.

What kind of "single" are you trying to get to make 300 hp?

This. I had a boosted y8 and it was fun as hell, it's worth doing if you don't want to do a swap. There is nothing in the world you can do to make 300 hp N/A.

Id honestly shoot for 250, youd be surprised how fast that is. 300whp is possible but not reliable on a stock motor IMO.

The monetary jump from what it takes to make 240-250whp and 300whp on a d16 is pretty big.

My y8 made 236hp/190tq and was fun enough for my 700+ miles of weekly driving. I'd suggest you shoot for a lower number and work your way up if you're not satisfied.

I don't think any amount of money could get you to 300. It's hard enough making that number in a K series.

Turbo would be the way to go, cheapest, most power.

And in the end when a modular 281 sohc smokes you. Your still intimidating, try again. SOHC is not always going to be a Honda motor.
