Thread: Black vinyl roof opinions??

    My javelin had a vinyl roof on it, eventually the vinyl stopped repelling water and started retaining it, long story short the entire roof had to be replaced, overall vinyl has to be done perfectly or it becomes a clusterfuck. I'd just paint it flat or matte black in that top section with the black top on it to hide it.

    Doesn't Vinyl have a life of only 2-3 years if the car is outside most of the time?

    Yes, it starts holding moisture in after a while and then you start having rust problems. I'll find some pics of my Javelin's old roof to prove it.
