Audi Quattro question.
In 1986, Audi Sport began an effort to prove 4wd on tarmac surfaces after its revolutionary success on any loose surface rallye.
They began this effort by sending a team to the Talladega motor speedway in Alabama in order to perform high speed record attempts. Starting with an Audi 200 Quattro, they created what was essentially an Audi Nascar and had oval racing talent Bobby Unser drive the car. Bobby had worked with Audi before as he recorded an 11 minute time up Pikes Peak in one of the rallye Quattros.

With turbocharging, all-wheel-drive and numerous hardly visible but extreme modifications (all complying with NASCAR rules!), the 200 succeeded in impressing the US. In Talladega the 200 with its 650hp reached a lap average of 332km/h (nearly 207mph). Thus it broke the big barrier of 200mph. On the straightaways it reached over 350km/h (over 219mph). In 1985 this time would have been enough for the first row in the starting line up. After this world-record for an all-wheel-drive vehicle on a circuit, the Audi team went on a promotion tour through the USA.

Now, for the main point of this post.
In 1988, Audi Sport took the same car to the Nardo Ring in Italy which is a 7.8 mile loop. I'm trying to do some research on this particular test. I've included a youtube vid that claims the car broke the 400kph barrier but i need it translated. The scene comes from a 1993 film that Audi put together which i also have but its all in German. The little bit of info i can take from that test is Olaf Manthey (was one of the people) that drove the car but i want to know how long the car was driven as it is apparent that the car was driven day and night. I also want to know what records were actually broken. As an example, Mercedes Benz is famous for long tests at Nardo including the 50,000km in 201 hours test of the 190E in 1983. The difference is Mercedes Benz did a better job of recording the event.
