    Default Tinting rear view mirrors...

who has done it? (side mirrors also)

    what were the results?

I'm tired of assholes running up behind me blinding the shit out of me.

Could tinting the mirrors be a solution to reduce the bright reflection and glare?

Im thinking about trying it myself, but I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has done it first.

Most mirrors have the ability to flip that little tab on the bottom of them that puts it in a different angle and then has somewhat of a tint effect. It does wonders. Do you not have this? If not go get one.

I can and do, it still bothers me

I also always have my windows down and was thinking about tinting the side mirrors too

You can see that it's also tinted blue to reduce glare, and it works well (I've got one). I actually stopped in here to see about doing the side view mirrors that way--I don't think it's the tint so much as an anti-reflective coating that causes it to tint like that, though... Probably have to source a manufacturer or something.

well the side mirrors do this to me as well sometimes. Don't tint them, get polaroid film and put it over them. Polaroid film can reduce glare significantly while letting you still see everything. Fisherman use it to see through water when the suns out.
