Default another d16z6 high compression question

ok i know i can throw some p29 pistons in for a boost in compression, my goal for compression is 12.2-12.5 :1. i want to achieve this the easiest way and it seems like milling the head would be pretty easy, and while i have the head off i can port & polish , and throw a decent cam in it along with beefier valve springs.

I do not intend to raise the rev limit any as i do not think i will make any power over the stock red line.

my question is how much can i mill the head on the d16z6. according to the compression calculator (zealautoworks.com) if i mill .1 inch off the head it will bring me to 11.96:1 comp. thats 2.54 mm. would i be cutting into the valves at that point?

is this the easiest way to bump the compression up by just removing the head?

the car is a 91 ef, tranny is 92-95 si, i have a wideband and afc neo for tuning.

p29's should give you plenty enough compression on pump gas. I wouldn't ever mill a head any more then necessary to get a good seal....

Think of cutting the head as also cutting into mechanical timing. So an adjustable cam gear would also be important when distances change between the block and the head. Just buy some pistons, or take a layer out of the head gasket.

And why waste your money on doing all that stuff anyways?

Well he's wasting it. I've been there done that.

I was like, "I'm a bad ass i've got built all motor D."

Then later I was like, "Man I wished I spent all that money on something else, shit anything."

All motor D is not the way to go. All motor LS is way better. But if you wanna try it then just put nitrous on that bitch and get it tuned. Cheaper and power when you want it b/c you won't beat the shit out of it 24/7.

If your going to throw in a aftertmarket cam depending on the can you should make power past stock rev limiter. I wouldn't mill An inch off that's way to much maybe .040 and bore it to 75.5mm lik3 sboy87th mentioned

yeah im stuck atm on what i want to do with it, my best friend has a b20vtec 70 trim in his ef, and that was a little extreme lol, the car with the stock z6 is faster than my 93 5.0 right now, i think i may just build another motor with the p29's and a cam and wait until my current dies, it'll be about 10 years for that thing to die...
