    Default Harmonic ballancer??

Probably a dumb question. My ls B18 needs a new crank pulley which includes the ballancer. I can save a hundred bucks and get an underdrive pulley off e bay, but it has no ballancer. Will my engine vibrate to a point of disaster???? how would I size my new aternator belt?

unless ur rebuilding ur motor stay away because it will wear out ur bearings especially if ur high in miles, iv also heard of premature oil pump failuer due to these pullys

Its technically not a harmonic balancer since the engine is internally balanced, but the pulley is balanced to it as well. It's known in honda terms as a NVM dampener with the little rubber piece inbetween the pulley. I have a few crank pulleys lol. I've been running a Ctr crank pulley for thousands of miles. No problems here. But I am overly critical so I did send it off with all my bottom end parts to be balanced with the rest of it. So maybe a stock pulley off another engine would be just as harmful as an aftermarket one since it has different drilled out marks to balance it out. OR Maybe its just balanced independant from the engine which I doubt.

Either way don't get a cheap crank pulley. Stay with SOMETHING OEM be it CTR or stock. It makes ignition timing way easier.
