Default b18c5 bottom Gsr head what should i run!!

Like the topic states. I have a 00 c5 ITR bottom end and a GSR p72 head, right now the motor is torn apart because of bad bearings. What do you guys suggest i do too make the most power out of it?

It has too stay reliable tough, this is a daily driver!!

mikes headers make insane power for all motor...i say rebuild it stock with a set of CTR pistons...open the head up, get some tuner 3 cams with his header and a good exhaust. Simple and sweet.

imo, leave the bottom end alone, pnp the head and some nice cams and cam gears, i/h/e and maybe IM. tune tune tune. should be 200whp reliable and fun.

edit damn he barely beat me to it ^^

if your wanting 200whp out if it and want to keep it reliable just but some oversize stock pistons reuse the rods and pickup some skunk 2 pro 1 cams valve train do a little head work pick up a perfromer x manifold 68 or 70mm throttlebody a nice header exhaust and have it tuned and your there.

if you want over 200whp pick up a b20 block some used eagle rods some rs machine cast type r style pistons and use the same setup on the head and you should have around 215 to 220whp with a good tune.

hell to make 200whp you just need a header, exhaust, and pro 1's lol

Yea im gonna use the PRo 1 cams out of my race car. I was thinking about getting the head ported and polish some more. But as far as the bottom end i really dont wanna go bigger then the stock size. Im trying too save so money but make it as fast as possible all motor.

if thats the case you shouldn't have a problem making 200whp with what you plan to do.
like matt said you can do it with just the cams a good header and exhaust, but anything else you can do to the head will just make your goals that much easier without having to rev the piss out of the car. especially changing the stock gsr intake manifold they don't flow nealry as good as the stock type r
