So Ive read tons of information on the ball and spring type manual boost controller. But what Im having a hard time finding information on is another type of DYI boost controlling. Im not sure what exactely its called. But Ive heard that plastic valves designed for small engines or something like that can be used. Theyre similar in design to how an irrigation pipe that runs water through it would be. As in to allow water to flow through the pipe, a valve would be turned which the handle runs parallel to the pipe letting the water flow freely. And turning the handle at a 45 degree angle would only allow half of the water to flow through.
Can this same principal be used for controlling boost? And what is this called? The "bleeder type valve"?
