Default I want a stock turboo

Ok, well i have a civic with a b-series and i want to use a turbo from a stock boosted car, such as a talon/sr20/srt4. Im really looking for something internally wastegated. My question is: which should i get? and am i going to have to get some kind of specially fabricated manifold?

x2. A stock Talon or Eclipse 14b or 2nd Gen T25 is a very small turbo that you will be very limited with. I've heard of a lor of Civics using the T25 but I would not. Maybe a bigT28 though. So I would use either a 16g, big 16g, or even better a EVOIII big 16, and yes there is a difference and they are relatively cheap. A EVOIII < 600 bucks or an equivalent Big T28 for about 900 bucks. EvoIII is the way to go IMO

You cannot use a Srt turbo... its built so that it can only be used on the stock manifold. But I have also heard of the old dsm turbo being used on civics

It all depends on what your power goal is. Decide on that and go from there.

The Big 16G has a standard T25 exhaust inlet flange, the same general flange that most Honda turbo manifolds use. You would need to fab up your own downpipe of course, but it should not be too difficult to make. The Big 16G turbo has put down over 400whp on several cars with the correct mods, and it will spool very nicely on a Honda engine.

    Couple things..

    1. SR20 is not a car.

    2. You need to get whatever manifold you want to have the same exhaust flange as the turbo. So.. You want a T25/T28 from a SR20, you'll need a T2 flange.

Also note that the T25 from DSM's are not even close to the same as the T25's from an SR. So you'll need to make sure which flange you need, and pickup a turbo that will bolt on. Mitsu and Nissan flanges are different.

    3. Pick a turbo based on your power goal. Pick a power goal, pick a turbo. Read up and see what people have made with that turbo, and go from there. Don't expect someone to pick your turbo for you. Its your car, not theirs.
