    Default Intake/Exhaust for Turbo

What would be a good intake/exhaust for a turbocharged Cobalt SS. Ive been looking around and im looking at getting a 3" Magnaflow full Exhaust w/ 4" tip and Magnaflow High flow cat. also for my intake i was thinking about getting a typhoon cold air intake. Would this be some good mods for my car?

Or is there something better i can do(performance wise)?

Im not really into the new SS/TC that much yet. But from what I have seen a Typhoon Intake is a very good choice. But if you want the best bang for the buck look into how much you could possibility raise the boost on the stock fuel system safely... with a boost controller or such

Like this programmer it looks awesome!!!!!!

Right now I'm learning about cars I don't know much about them so what exactly does the programmer do??
I know probably a stupid question..but I'm trying to learn.

mmm is that even a question the thing is turbo'ed STOCK

it will allow for the raising of boost/rev limiter/timing etc... from what i seen people with just this are dynoing in the 290-300whp range

    see this

Average power increase: 41Hp or 19.2%.

    with just the unit

.......... No. They have switched to turbo... check your info before you spread it please.

To OP, I used to have a Cobalt SS/SC and I loved it. One of the best and most informative places for you to go would be www.cobaltss.net.

Other than that, I would see if GMPP (GM performance parts) makes any good upgrade kits, im sure they do.

Heres a good list of retailers and other useful info for your car.

That programmer seems to come with a tune already for a stock like car. Prob the way the Diablo comes with a 93 tune for my car. Its simple to really get into tuning a flash unit but im sure there are a couple of places here in GA that could tune it on a dyno but expect 450-500$$

Its usually a good bet to go with a 3inch echaust with most turbo cars. Since is make "300 hp" then im guessing the turbo is of a large enough size to go ahead with it.
As for intake, makes an intake that points in a good direction for good clean air (not water) and your set. Piping can be larger than the inlet of the turbo, just not to much bigger.

reflash the ecu and get the intake and exhaust.

    Just that alone is 300+whp

on a new wrx with the typhoon intake and the magnaflow exaust (tuned) picked i think 297whp or something like that i read it up on car and driver or something so i mean as long as you get it tuned you should pull alot of power out of just that

    sentra made the best call.

make sure the turbo is big enough to hit 300+hp. most stock turbo's are made for that kind of power and would need a small upgrade.
