147 In the J30. Took forever to get from 140-147, not enough power to over come my crappy aerodynamics. < That was before lowering! Dunno if lowering helps it any, and Im not going to test since I have a bad ticket in my past and try not to do insane speeds anymore.

On straights you dont really have much to worry about if you thoroughly check your bike. It's a controlled environment and if something happens hopefully I would be there to help ya, or someone else who knows how to deal with the situation, not some passer-by who would most likely further injure you.

A human being on top of a motorcycle doesn't exactly make the wind blow right over smoothly. Major difference is also that you feel all the air pushing into you, unlike planes & cars.

correct.........I have been over 200 on a few different bikes......

when the wind hits your helmet just right, it will almost yank you off the bike.

I have sat up at 150 to help slow a bike down before. 200 on a bike is nutz...

I have hit the rev limiter on my old 07 gsxr 1000 in 6th gear. The spedo stopes at 186 half way through 5th gear but the bike keeps pullng. I know at that spead the speado if way off but if I had to guess I would say I was somewhere n the 185 ish range. If. Can find the video I'll post a link.
