Default What would you rather do....

buy a 24k EVO or STI (used), or buy a 5k dollar S14 and dump about 20k on the S14? Discuss.

Neither, but if I really had to choose it would be a S14 with a turbo LSX. I wouldn't do any of that gay hanging shit from the back or any other act of GayDM.

I wouldn't spend that on any of those cars.

I see the choice as... Would you rather buy your performance or make it.

Yes the Evo and Sti are brillant cars, but there is something about building a car the way YOU want. I say S14 (and no not just because it's a 240, the choice would be the same if it was a '89 Ford Fiesta).

^^^ True... I really like STI's but having 20 grand to dump into a S14 would be just fun. I guess the decision is having an already built nice car or one you build yourself and can showcase your talent.

None of those ideas sound a like a good one. Get a car worth some valvue. Purchse a 69 Camaro or 70 GTO.

    New STI.

Roomy, tons of potential, and much nicer interior than Evo. Less cheap plastic.

STI or Evo. If it's before 2008 I'd say STI, if it's 08+ I'd say Evo.

I agree, the hatch STI is not bad, but a downgrade from the previous model.

Really? I got a 2003 WRX new and have never once had a major problem with it (and the STI has equal or superior quality parts in all aspects). I think your friends either abuse the hell out of the car or happened to get two of the only lemons I've ever heard of.
