    Default Mid 11 second DD Non vtec boosted d16

    The car belongs to a buddy Garage 808 on honda-tech and is a Daily Driven non vtec d16y7 motor with around a total 800 in the motor.

    97 civic hatch 2550lbs with driver
    motor:
    D16Y7 with vitaras and chinese rods
    stock Y7 head
    Delta 262 regrind
    turbo kit:
    Garage 808 log mani
    tial 38 mvs WG
    holset HY35 turbo
    3" ss DP
    running full 3" exhaust
    2.5" charge piping
    CX racing IC
    750cc injectors
    running on S300 (out of my drag car)

    Just bolted some 23x8x13 slicks on lensos, and skinnies on it, full street trim and on PUMP GAS (92 oct)

    car went a best of 11.54 @ 118mph
    consistent 11.6-11.7's at 117mph

    The vitara piston was suzuki's gift to the honda d-series boost world. Thats awesome but I wonder about "Chinese" rods.

    very nice. how's the cam daily driven? i'd like more info on the cam since there isn't much for us non-vtec d-series guys.

    Single Cam Ham! :boobies: You show off those D's! Hows that 262 idle for you? I ran the 272 on my stock F22 head, and it ticked worst than back-up dancers from Step It Up, but the top end was ridiculous.

    he said the idle seems to be pretty decent not to much from stock and its fine daily driving on it
