Default The worst your car has ever ran (excluding when it doesn't run at all)

I thought this would be a fun little thread. Vacuum leaks, dying fuel pumps, it'd be interesting to see what IA members have had to overcome while still needing to actually DRIVE the car (probably to the auto parts store to fix it).

Right now for me, it's that I just rebuilt my carburetor to fix a fuel leak, and managed to break a very important idle mixture screw that meters the air-to-fuel ration from idle to about 3k RPM. I have one for each carb barrel which feed each rotor in the engine. So now, the screw that's broken cannot meter fuel to one of the rotors, and my engine idles off of one rotor. So in order to go from a stop light at any sort of hill at all, I have to rev it to like 4k and slip the clutch. It's like having NO torque, it's quite messed up haha. I've also had to drive down the street without an oil cap when I discovered I had lost it during an oil change.Anyone else ever had any messed up temporary problems like this?

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

considering the truck is when i first got it, i had a bad fuel filter...it would always cut off on me. after i changed it i had no problems...thats the worse, besides not starting when i turned the key (bad battery terminals)

Piston rings, head gasket, front and rear main seals, oil pressure switch, oil pan gasket.

If you rev it too high, it detonates the tip right off the spark plug.

Codes: Cam angle sensor, knock sensor, mass air flow, throttle position sensor, cylinder 1 misfire. Cleared when I changed the plugs AGAIN and they haven't come back.

Plugs (this is AFTER I cleaned them up by accident during removal):

when i first put my 35R on. i had a basemap on a new stand-alone, and the turbo had been stored on it's face so it had oil all in it. i have never seen a car smoke so much, without being blown up, in my life.
    Who knows?

The night coolant housings blew apart and the car overheated, and I drove it home because I didn't want to wait for a tow truck, after 30 minutes of driving it was barely moving, knocking, backfiring like a mofo, it finally let go and I pushed it a half mile home. It smelt like death for a week.

I went to a concert and got into the mosh pit.

The pit parted and on the other side was a guy. We stared at eachother and sprinted full blast at eachother. I jumped, he dunked. My hip hit his shoulder and I went flying. I hit the ground and heard my collar bone snap.

I am in crazy pain, I take my little emo bitch date home and as I'm leaving my POWER STEERING DIES.

So Mini's without power steering are extremely hard to turn, and I had a fuckin broken collar bone.
Got a MINI? Don't talk to me.

    4. Engine started overheating.
5.There were other minor things as well

so I decided to sell as is. lol
Honda are popular for a reason. There might be faster car out there, but none as consistent.

Bad injectors on a d15b7 bogged like hell all the way to 5500rpms then felt like the motor hit a wall

drove a passat a friend had with a blown turbo for like 20 miles to his house so we could change it. I had to keep the revs at 3000rpms just to keep it from dying

My 300 zx was the biggest POS I have ever owned. Then I got a a 240 and had a shop that will remain anonymous did my SR20 swap and then that became the biggest POS i had ever owned. Wipers didn't work for like 6 months then randomly started working. Then they decided they would only work when it was dry outside, I spent 2 months trying to figure it out but never could. Then the shop did such shotty work with he wiring harness that i had to pull the whole thing out and do it again and I still could never work out all the little issues the shop caused. I will never own another Nissan again.

The car sounded like a subaru, had no power at all below 4 grand, and was throwing codes like crazy.

When I bought my black hatch the guy told me it had a bad motor mount but I didnt care. I drove it for about 2000 miles and did a compression test. 180, 180, 170, 15. Leak down showed a leak by the exhaust valve. I pull the head and it had a burnt valve.
I drove the bitch for 2000 miles with a burnt valve and still got 30 mpg
