    Default NA CRX

I need some help guys. I have a 91 crx with a B16a . I have decided to go all motor but would like some suggestions on wich direction to go. I was thinking of swapping the block, but would like some opinions on parts and whatever else you would like to put out there. Thx!

really depends on your budget, seriously. What is it? be realistic.

IF you have $1000 or less my recommendation will vary as opposed to you having $2000+

If you have the money id def go to a 1.8L GSR block if you can find one. PR3 Pistons, Cams, Header, Intake manifold, etc.

I would say 1000 bucks would be around what I could spend. Whatcha think? Or should I just build my B16?

with a grand and wanting all motor, try a b20/vtec setup, block guard, and some good pistons, cams, etc.
use oem valves since all motor there is a risk of having valve-piston issue, dont' wanna have them meet

pistons and cams will run him about a grand themselves. but yea that or the GSR block is the route I'd go.

You can get into a lot of trouble w/ block-guards done wrong. In fact, they are done wrong more times than not. Second --- they are not really a functional mod (this is arguable). it is nearly impossible to install then w/out warping the cylinders. Then if you machine (power hone) after the install, you will have less material near the top of the cylinders. That's my 02 and you will find some people that swear by guards. I am just not a fan.

In a b20v setup you missed the most important part --- ROD BOLTS, more important than almost any other part.

If I only had 1k to spend, I'd simply fully bolt the car if your B16 has decent compression check adn leakdown --- and get it tuned -- possibly some used cams if you can get some. I'd save the money and try to reduce the weight of the car which is much cheaper.
